Report on the activities during the English Camp 

                  During the school holidays, The English Language Society of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bukit Jana held/ organized an English Camp. There were many activities that was planned by the committee members. Among the activities were Talent Show, Language Games, Drama, and Treasure hunt. The camp was held for 2 days and 1 nights. The activities were held according to days. Firstly, the students involved in the camp were divided into groups. They were told to prepare a drama which will be presented on the last night of the camp.

                The first activity was the Talent Show. In this activity, the students were supposed to show their talents in singing, dancing or fashion show. Many students took part in singing. They showed amazing talents in singing and Nor Zulaikha from form Three came out as a winner. In the dancing competition,the students performed in groups. The juries were impressed by the dancing talents of the students of this school. The last competition was the fashion show. Students who represent their groups had to wear traditional costumes. Each group succeded in putting a lovely fashion show. Everybody enjoyed the show and had a lot of fun.

               After lunch, the groups competed in the language games. In this activity, every group members showed good cooperation in solving the puzzles. Everybody worked together and played all the language games that was prepared. The students improved their vocabulary and this activity was very enjoyable.

             We were given a break to prepare for the next activity which was Drama. All groups had to perform their drama after dinner. All the members of the groups worked very hard for this activity. Some prepared props, some wrote scripts and they used their break time to discuss and practiced their performance. This activity built the students confidence very well.

            The next morning, after breakfast, All students were put to compete in the Treasure Hunt. Here, each member of various group looked for clues that was hidden all over the canteen area. They have to solve riddles given in the clue and head for the next clue. They studied the given maps to make it easier for them to solve their riddles. It was a very challenging activity yet enjoyable.

           The participants was dismissed from the camp later in the evening, after they finished tidying up their camp site. The camp was very enjoyable and it remains as a sweet memory to all the participants.
